The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Modding Guide for Linux

Summary Hello my fellow penguins! This guide will show you how to set up a Skyrim modding environment for the original “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” on Linux, using a modified Steam Proton run script. 🔥 Please note, that this guide IS NOT for “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition” - it’s for the older “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” or “Legendary Edition”. If you are looking to play with “ModOrganizer 2” and “TESV: Skyrim Special Edition”, there is a Lutris installer here.

The WebP format, which is developed by Google is becoming ever more popular on the net these days. With many popular websites and web browsers adopting it. WebP offers a modern image format that “provides superior and lossy compression for images on th web”. For those of you who know about the virtual content I love to create, you can no doubt imagine that this game was an instant buy for me. 15 Years in Second Life®

I’ve been a “resident” of the online virtual world known as Second Life® since June 2005. Second Life® is a rich 3D virtual world, promoting digital entertainment, social interaction and a whole lot of fun. All of the content “in-world” is created by the residents that frequent there. Linden Lab (the company who created Second Life®) give us the tools – and residents like myself create all the content for our virtual world.
